Dominika Benakova graduated in 2013 from the Teacher Training Program at the Martha Graham School. She was then accepted as a full time PhD student at University of Drama and Performing Arts in Bratislava, where she had already completed her Bachelors in Dance Interpretation in 2009 and Masters in Modern Dance Teaching in 2011. She wrote her dissertation thesis in Graham field and graduated in June 2016. Dominika is currently teaching the Graham Technique at the Dance Department of University of Drama and Performing Arts in Bratislava as well as at the Dance Conservatory of Eva Jacz. These classes are reserved for enrolled students only. Dominka taught intensive workshops at University in Prague 2016,2017 and 2024. She went to the SMU University in Dallas, Texas for an internship with Myra Woodruff. In 2022, she participated on documentary by Christopher Dolder about Martha Graham technique teachers. She has published her first book in 2024, dedicated to modern dance history, in slovak.
