ETIAS for Dance Students: How to Get Your Travel Authorization for Summer Intensives

How to Apply for the ETIAS Travel Authorization
Starting in the first half of 2025, travelers from over 60 visa-exempt countries, including Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Brazil, will need an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) to visit the Schengen Zone for short stays (up to 90 days within 180 days). Here’s a simple guide on how to apply.
Who Needs ETIAS?
Citizens from the following visa-exempt countries will require ETIAS:
- Americas: Mexico, United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, etc.
- Asia-Pacific: Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, etc.
- Others: United Kingdom, UAE, Israel, etc. For the full list, visit the ETIAS.
How to Apply for ETIAS
- Visit the official ETIAS website (link will be available soon).
- Fill out the online form with personal details, passport information, and travel history.
- Answer security questions related to criminal records, past travel, and health.
- Pay the application fee (€7 for applicants aged 18-70; free for minors and seniors over 70).
- Wait for approval, usually granted within minutes. In some cases, processing may take up to 30 days.
- Receive your ETIAS via email. It will be electronically linked to your passport and valid for 3 years or until passport expiration.
Important Notes
- Without ETIAS, entry will be denied at Schengen border controls.
- ETIAS is NOT a visa; it’s a travel authorization for visa-exempt visitors.
- Apply at least a few days before your trip to avoid delays.
