Ghislaine’s method is to pass along the Graham legacy. What you can expect for the workshop in Graham technique is a part of floor work, standing, combinations and across the floor.
Recognized as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, Martha Graham created a movement language based on the expressive capacity of the human body. The Graham technique has been taught worldwide. Today, it continues to serve as a rich and powerful training and influences contemporary dance.
Please note that in this workshop is for dancers of all levels.

GHISLAINE VAN DEN HEUVEL
Ghislaine van den Heuvel is a professional dancer and certified Graham teacher from the Netherlands. She holds a BA in Contemporary Dance from Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts and performed for three seasons with Graham 2, where she portrayed prominent roles in Martha Graham’s iconic repertoire. In 2022, she was honored with the Armgard Von Bardeleben Award for Excellence in Graham Studies.
Now based in New York, Ghislaine teaches at the Martha Graham School and collaborates with companies such as Tabula Rasa Dance Theatre, Rioult Dance, and Jesse Obremski. She is also dedicated to preserving and sharing the Martha Graham legacy, contributing to Dance Spotlight video documentation projects to ensure this timeless technique continues to inspire future generations.
