TEACHERS
Alissa Brönnimann was trained in modern dance and ballet at the Modern-Dance-Schule Freiburg and has been a teacher there since 2018. She has been teaching Graham technique mostly to children and teenagers (but also to adults) after having attended several further training courses abroad (in Paris, London, and New York) and after having studied at Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York for half a year.
Sybille Hofmann-Märklin studied the art of flamenco dance at the "Fundación Christina Heeren de arte flamenco" in Seville and at the "Amor de Dios" in Madrid, as well as modern and contemporary dance under Ramón Oller at the "Centro Andaluz de Danza y Teatro" in Seville.
Mentors in her flamenco dance development were, in particular, masters of the flamenco avantgarde such as Rafaela Carrasco, Belén Maya, and Israel Galván, who had a lasting influence on her style. Other important teachers were Leonor Leal, Domingo Ortega, Karen Lugo, Mercedes Ruiz, and Javier Latorre.
At the same time, she completed a master's degree in movement science (majoring in dance) at the University of Freiburg from 1996 to 2001 and has been the director of the LA SOLEÁ Center for Flamenco Art, one of the largest and most renowned flamenco schools in Germany, since 2002.
For her work as a soloist and artistic director of the ensemble „Madrugá Flamenca“, with which she has successfully toured Germany, Switzerland, France and abroad since 2001, she has received multiple awards including the European Culture Prize.
From 2017 to 2020, she trained as a certified Pilates Studio Trainer (mat & equipment) according to BASI - Body Arts and Science International and places great emphasis on supporting dancers in their performance skills and body awareness through Pilates training.
