Intensives including Graham all over Europe in the Summer of 2022.

This Summer (June 21 – 28), Orsolina28 will offer The Graham Intensive at Orsolina28 in collaboration with the Martha Graham Center, a program for students unable to attend the Martha Graham School in NYC and who wish to progress rapidly in Graham.

The first ever Graham in the UK festival included multifaceted events which brought together dance lovers and world renowned artists. Professional dancers were offered the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest luminaries in the contemporary world of Graham who came over from the USA.

The Dance Conservatory of Eva Jacz in Bratislava performed the female chorus from Night Journey, known as Daughters of the Night. It also became a partner institution with the Martha Graham School in New York.

All over Europe, Intensives including Graham are happening: technique, repertory, panel of discussion, performances.

THE CLASS WILL BE LED BY VIRGINIE MÉCÈNE, PEDAGOGY INSTRUCTOR AT THE MARTHA GRAHAM CENTER, FORMER PRINCIPAL DANCER WITH THE MARTHA GRAHAM COMPANY AND FORMER DIRECTOR OF THE MARTHA GRAHAM SCHOOL. 

For whom?

This workshop is open to Graham-trained teachers or other teachers who would like to include some basic Graham in their classes. 

Marnie Thomas taught a one-week Graham Teacher Workshop in Spain. It’s the first initiative of its kind in Europe. Pedagogy Classes happened every morning from 9:00 to 12:00 and technique Master Classes from 13:00 to 14:30. This workshop has been organized by Carolina Márquez, in collaboration with the Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Málaga.
