Lifestyle Medicine: The Art of Living Well
[ Talk In 🇬🇧 with interpretation in 🇬🇷 / 🇮🇹 / 🇫🇷 ]
With Anna Athanasiou
Lifestyle Medicine is an evidence-based medical specialty that addresses the root causes of chronic disease through daily habits such as sleep, stress management, physical activity, and social connection. At the heart of this approach lies nutrition — a cornerstone of health and performance that is especially relevant in the world of dance, where the body is both the instrument and the art.
This lecture will explore how a balanced, whole-food dietary approach can support energy, recovery, and longevity, alongside the other key pillars of a healthy lifestyle. A practical and accessible introduction, open to all participants of the workshop regardless of age or experience level.

Graham Repertory for the 21st Century
[ Talk In 🇬🇧 with interpretation in 🇬🇷, 🇮🇹 , 🇫🇷 ]
How does a 20th-century repertory established by Martha Graham remain relevant, get transmitted to new generations of dancers, and transition into the 21st century? Our guest Graham artists Christophe Jeannot and Lorenzo Pagano will address these questions through the roles they have performed, sharing their own approaches and understandings of the work, and what it can still mean to perform this repertory today.

Cultural Visit - National Library of Greece
Informal visit at the National Library of Greece (NLG) and the surrounding Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
The NLG is housed within a remarkable contemporary complex overlooking the coast, surrounded by the Stavros Niarchos Park, with gardens, open spaces, walking paths and views stretching towards the Saronic Gulf. The area offers a very different perspective on Athens, away from the dense city centre and close to the sea.
After visiting the library, we can enjoy its surroundings, the park, and the views over the city and the water as the light changes, with sunset over the Saronic Gulf around 20:00.

Oedipus Solo from "Night Journey" + Q&A
Graham artist Lorenzo Pagano will perform the solo of Oedipus from the iconic piece “Night Journey” choreographed in 1947 by Martha Graham.
In her retelling of the Oedipus myth, Graham was almost certainly influenced by contemporary interest in psychology and the emerging (in America) theories of Freud and Jung, theories which explored the darker recesses of the human psyche, including erotic passion and the powerful sexual dynamics operating within the family.
